Hunters Beach is one of our favorite places for photos. The first time we visited here was over a decade ago and we were the only ones there - a rare occurrence in July on MDI where downtown Bar Harbor sometimes feels more like Times Square.
After walking the quarter mile path through beautiful mosses and rocks and roots and wooden bridges, you’re greeted by a beautiful rocky beach framed by cliffs on each side.
At high tide, the ocean pulls the smooth rocks against each other creating a somewhat hypnotizing rhythmic sound, and if you’re lucky you might spot a pod of whales in the deep cove of the beach.
If you’re considering a photo session in Acadia (or just looking for a beautiful spot to spend some time), definitely consider this unique beach!
