We love being a part peoples’ wedding days, but it’s even more fun when we have a personal connection to the bride or groom. Christine and Andrew’s summer Berkshires wedding was especially fun for us since Andrew and Brian go way back to Okinawa, Japan and a 200-man unit they deployed to Afghanistan with in 2010.
Andrew left the Marines shortly after the deployment while Brian stuck around for another tour, and they lost touch. Six years later, Andrew spotted us on Facebook and asked if we were available to capture his wedding to Christine. We were of course happy to head back to MA for this lovely day.
Christine and Andrew’s personalities were reflected in so many aspects of their wedding, from the dinner plates donated by family members, the ceremony officiated by her father in front of birch tree sculptures he’d created, and the family farmhouse in which Christine’s mom helped her get dressed. His three sisters made up half the bridal party, and every moment of the day was full of love, personality, laughter, and light. We were so grateful to be a part of it.

And then, of course, the dancing and good times.
Here’s to many more decades of family, laughter, and backyard celebrations for Andrew and Christine!
