David reached out to us the week before they arrived in Bar Harbor looking for help in capturing his proposal to Meghan. They had been together 7 years, and he had his heart set on a sunset mountain proposal.
We decided on Beech Mountain, and Brian went up a few days before and scouted the location. We sent videos, pictures, and map plots showing David exactly how to get to the spot so that he knew right where to be and where Brian would be.
We agreed on a signal, and Brian arrived on site 45 minutes early to subtly mark the turnoff and the proposal location as they’d planned.
We were so thrilled that the weather cooperated and gave David and Meghan a gorgeous sunset backdrop for their proposal! The golden light cascading across the mountains was the perfect touch of magic to their special moment.
Seeing the sun was about to dip below the horizon, Brian suggested they take a break from photos so that David and Meghan could savor this special sunset together, and we could pick up with photos again after.
Thinking of proposing in Bar Harbor or Acadia National Park? Let’s talk! No matter how much (or how little!) planning you’ve done, we’re happy to jump in and make sure your special moment is captured beautifully. We live on the island year round and spend most of our time in the park; one of our favorite things to do is find little hidden corners of beauty.
